SCOTTISH INTEREST GROUP
(WAIKATO)
Want to Delve into your Scottish Ancestry?
This may be the Group for you.
MEETINGS During the year we host 3 to 4 meetings of varied style
‘Hame’ Days – An informal gathering in a home. These offer time for a chat as well as a discussion on a chosen topic and personal research in our Scottish resources.
Open Day on a Saturday – Time for more intensive personal research. A feature is the borrowing of Scottish resources & records from the libraries of the NZ Scottish Interest Group and NZ Society Genealogists. Optional workshops talks may be included.
Tutorial Day – A more formal lecture learning situation
ABOUT US People attend our days from the Hamilton, the greater Waikato, Coromandel, and Bay of Plenty districts. The Group comes under the ‘Tartan Umbrella’, of the Scottish Interest Group of the N.Z Society Genealogists and has close contacts with the Hamilton Branch of NZ Society Genealogists. |
